Fox News Fires Showbiz Columnist For "Promoting" Piracy

When I read the Roger Friedman article, I was surprised that it made it to print. What was he thinking? Obviously, piracy is illegal. If you watch pirated movies, the last thing you want to do is publicize the fact. If he wanted to write about that, he should have taken up anonymous blogging (even then he would have been caught, eventually).


If he really wanted to do some hard-hitting journalism, he could have written an exposé on the seedy underbelly of movie piracy. Then he may have gotten a Peabody and a free pass to view all of the illegal downloads he wanted...for research purposes, of course.
